1. Introduction and Who We Are

Forsa Connect ("Company," "we," "us," "our") operates a talent discovery platform at forsaconnect.com (the "Platform") that connects professionals ("Talent") with companies and recruiters ("Employers") through a curated directory called the People Board and a traditional job board.

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • What personal data we collect and from whom
  • How we use that data
  • When and to whom we disclose that data
  • How we protect it
  • How long we keep it
  • Your rights with respect to it

By submitting a profile, creating an account, purchasing a product, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.

This Policy should be read alongside our Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the Platform and define key terms used throughout.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect different categories of data depending on how you use the Platform.

2.1 Data Submitted by Talent (People Board Profiles)

When you submit a profile to be listed on the People Board, we collect:

Public profile data (displayed to all visitors of the People Board):

  • Professional headline
  • Role category
  • Skills and areas of expertise
  • Experience level (years of experience range)
  • Location (country/city level)
  • English proficiency level
  • Professional summary or bio
  • Profile photo

Private contact data (disclosed only to Employers who complete a paid Profile Unlock for your specific profile):

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Resume / CV file

Submission processing data (used internally only):

  • Submission timestamp
  • Profile status (pending / approved / rejected)
  • AI-generated draft content produced during resume analysis (see Section 4.3)
2.2 Data Submitted by Employers

When you access the Platform as an Employer or register for an account, we collect:

  • Company name and company website
  • Contact person name and email
  • Billing information (via Stripe — see Section 4.4)
  • Job listings and associated details (if you post jobs)
  • Profile unlock purchase history (which profiles you have unlocked and when)
  • Messages sent through the Platform's contact features
2.3 Job Applicant Data

When a job seeker applies to a job posted on the Platform, we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Resume / CV file
  • Application submission data and timestamp
  • Cover letter or application notes (if provided)
2.4 Usage and Technical Data

When anyone visits the Platform, we automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages visited, time spent, and navigation patterns
  • Referral source (how you arrived at the Platform)
  • Session identifiers and cookies (see Section 7)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use personal data only for the purposes described below:

We do not use your personal data for advertising purposes. We do not display advertising on the Platform, and we do not share your data with advertisers.

4. When and To Whom We Disclose Your Data

4.1 Talent Data — The Unlock Model

This is the most important disclosure rule for Talent to understand:

Your public profile data (as listed in Section 2.1) is visible to anyone who visits the People Board, including non-registered visitors.

Your private contact data — including your full name, email address, phone number, and resume — is only disclosed to an Employer who has purchased and applied a Profile Unlock to your specific profile. It is not disclosed to any Employer who has not unlocked your profile, and it is not shared broadly with the Employer user base.

Once an Employer has unlocked your profile:

  • They receive access to your contact details and resume within the Platform.
  • They may use that information to contact you directly. From that point, any communication occurs between you and the Employer independently of Forsa Connect.
  • Forsa Connect does not monitor, control, or receive copies of communications between you and Employers after an unlock.
  • Forsa Connect is not responsible for how Employers use or store your contact information following an unlock. You are encouraged to review the employer's own privacy practices before sharing additional personal information.

We retain a record of which Employers have unlocked which profiles for operational and legal purposes.

4.2 Employer Data Shared with Talent

When an Employer posts a job or contacts a Talent through the Platform, their company name and the role or opportunity they represent may be visible to Talent users. We do not share Employer billing information with Talent.

4.3 AI Service Providers

When you submit a resume to the Platform, your resume file may be sent to a third-party artificial intelligence service (currently OpenAI) for the purpose of extracting and structuring your professional information into profile fields. This processing happens at the time of your submission.

OpenAI's use of data submitted through the API is governed by its own privacy policy and data usage policies, which you can review at openai.com. As of the time of this writing, OpenAI does not use API-submitted data for model training by default.

We use AI services solely to improve the quality and accuracy of profile data. The AI-generated output is reviewed by a Forsa Connect team member during the profile review process before your profile is published.

4.4 Payment Processors

Payments for Unlock Packs, job posting fees, and any other paid services are processed by Stripe, Inc. Forsa Connect does not collect, store, or have access to your full credit card or bank account details. Stripe's collection and use of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own Privacy Policy, available at stripe.com.

We retain records of transactions (amount, date, product purchased, associated account) for accounting and dispute resolution purposes.

4.5 Platform Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to help operate the Platform, including hosting (Replit), email delivery, and analytics tools. These providers access personal data only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4.6 Legal Disclosure

We may disclose personal data to government authorities, law enforcement, or regulatory bodies when required by law, court order, or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Forsa Connect, our users, or the public.

4.7 Business Transfers

If Forsa Connect is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar business transaction, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify users via a notice on the Platform or by email before data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4.8 What We Do NOT Do

To be explicit:

  • We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
  • We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing data brokers.
  • We do not share Talent private contact data with Employers who have not completed a Profile Unlock.
  • We do not share Talent resumes on a bulk, undifferentiated basis with Employer subscribers.

5. Profile Review and Content Moderation

All Talent profiles submitted to the People Board are reviewed by a Forsa Connect team member before publication. This review involves reading your submitted profile data in order to assess whether it meets our editorial standards.

During moderation, we may:

  • Flag profiles for follow-up questions or corrections
  • Decline to publish profiles that do not meet our standards
  • Remove previously approved profiles that are reported or found to violate our Terms

Data from declined or removed profiles is retained in our systems for a limited period for fraud prevention and legal compliance purposes (see Section 6).

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, to operate the Platform, and to comply with our legal obligations.

If you request deletion of your data (see Section 8), we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, subject to retention requirements for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Platform. Types of cookies we use:

Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the Platform to function, including login sessions, security tokens, and form submissions. You cannot opt out of these without disabling use of the Platform.

Analytics cookies: We may use third-party analytics tools to understand how visitors use the Platform. This data is used in aggregated form to improve the Platform and is not used to identify or track individual users for commercial purposes.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party cookies for behavioral targeting.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data. We respect and honor these rights regardless of your jurisdiction.

8.1 Universal Rights (All Users)

All Platform users may:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Request removal of your profile from the People Board at any time, by emailing support@forsaconnect.com
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly

To submit a request, email support@forsaconnect.com with your name and the nature of your request. We will respond within 30 days.

8.2 Rights Under Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL)

If you are located in Egypt, you have rights under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020), including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@forsaconnect.com.

8.3 Rights Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

  • Right to access (Article 15)
  • Right to rectification (Article 16)
  • Right to erasure (Article 17)
  • Right to restriction of processing (Article 18)
  • Right to data portability (Article 20)
  • Right to object (Article 21)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your EU member state if you believe your rights have been violated. We will not retaliate against you for exercising your rights.

8.4 California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, disclose, or sell about you, the right to request deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. As noted in Section 4.8, we do not sell personal information.

9. International Data Transfers

Forsa Connect is operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from Egypt, the Arab region, the European Union, or any other country, your data may be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States or other countries in which our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

By using the Platform, you consent to such transfer. We take steps to ensure that any transfers are made in accordance with applicable data protection law and that your data is treated with the standard of protection described in this Policy.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a person under 18 without parental consent, we will delete that data promptly. If you believe we may have information about a minor, please contact us at support@forsaconnect.com.

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These measures include secure hosting, access controls, and HTTPS encryption in transit.

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account credentials you create on the Platform. Please notify us immediately at support@forsaconnect.com if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account or data.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, employer company pages, or external resources. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party. When you leave the Platform, we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit.

13. Marketing Communications

We may send you marketing emails about Platform features, hiring insights, or relevant updates.

You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email or by emailing support@forsaconnect.com. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect our ability to send you transactional emails related to your account or profile.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our Platform, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Policy on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where feasible, notify registered users by email.

Your continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. If you do not agree to the updated Policy, please stop using the Platform and request deletion of your data.
